Welcome to Frienship Cup 2023

So the TOPS came out on top ! Well done!

We once again find ourselves eagerly anticipating one of the most awaited events of the year, our Annual Friendship Cup Golf Tournament. It is with immense joy and excitement that we extended this invitation to you, our esteemed golfing `tjoms`, to join us for another unforgettable round of camaraderie on the greens.

The Annual Friendship Cup has evolved into more than just a golf tournament; it`s a celebration of the enduring bonds forged on the fairways. This event has become a cherished tradition that brings together friends who share not only a passion for the game but a deep appreciation for the friendships that have blossomed over countless rounds of golf.

We are truly honored that you are joining us, recognizing that it is the shared laughter, banter, beverage consumption and the spirit of competition that makes the Friendship Cup more than just a competition, it is a celebration of the unique camaraderie we share.

As this is the 1st weekend of the month it is CCC monthly PINK DAY. This serves as a reminder of our collective commitment to cancer awareness and research. By wearing pink, we not only express our unity on the golf course but also contribute to raising awareness and supporting initiatives that make a real difference in the lives of those affected.

The Art of Team Selection
Our commitment to elevating our golfing experience led us to embark on a journey of team selection that transcends the ordinary. We have gone through an intricate and sophisticated methodology to ensure that each team is a harmonious blend of talents, personalities, and playing styles.

Tops & Bottoms !

The Draw is Out ! Please view `Time & Scores` for your T-Time & playing partners.
3x Matches to be played. Min of 3 holes to be completed by ALL players for match scores to count.

After hours & hours of member interaction & request, management have changed the format of the first 6 holes from foursomes to the Pinehurst format.

Pinehurst, Betterball, Singles
1 point - Win
1/2 point - Draw
0 points - Lose

Your Holes
(1-6) Pinehurst * (60/40 Hdcp) (Lowest Team goes to 0 Hdcp)
(7-12) Betterball (85% Hdcp) Lowest Team goes to 0 Hdcp)
(13-18) Singles (95% Hdcp) Lowest Player goes to 0 Hdcp)

Enjoy !

* Pinehurst
Lowest handicap golfer 60% of handicap + higher Handicap golfer 40%
e.g. 6 Hdcp & 16 Hdcp
60% x (6Hdcp) + 40% x (15Hdcp)
3.6 + 6 = 9.6 = 10Hdcp for the team

how it works
Both players hit drives
They walk to their balls, but they switch in hitting each others ball.
Now after their 2nd shots they choose the best best ball and play alternative shots (foursomes) from there.

If you do not understand the format either forfeit or phone Spud or Vic - they would be very happy to assist.
