Friendship Cup 2021 Elements

It`s that time of the year again - Friendship Cup time. Following last year`s dismal performance by the Boere , some of them went and handpicked a side in order to overcome last years doing.

This year it`s the Handpicked Bushies vs the Bald Eagles. Thanks` once again to Clyde and Andre for arranging what promised to be memorable tour. The success of last year`s FC Elements tour has led to a repeat at this magnificent venue. Recent rains in the area can only promote to a more spectacular golf course.

The tournament will take place on Friday 26 & Saturday 27 November 2021 and consist of 3 games. Better ball Match Play Friday Morning & a Combined Stableford Match Play the afternoon with Singles Match Play on Saturday morning. A total of 20 points it up for grabs , with 1 point for a match won and 1/2 for a halved match. First team reaching 10 and 1/2 points will take the honours.

The Friendship Cup has been around for a number of years and the spirit in which the games are played is indicative of the name itself.

Rules & Conditions

Game 1 :
Better ball (Teams of 2) match play. Lowest Handicap in 4 ball goes to 0. Best net score of the team A plays best net score of team B. - Note 90% handicap allowance to be used

Game 2:
Combined (Teams of 2) Stableford Match Play. Lowest handicap in 4 ball goes to 0. Combined stableford score of team A plays combined stableford score of team B. Note 100% handicap allowance to be used

Game 3 :
Singles (Teams of 1) match play. Lowest handicap goes to 0. Player A net score plays Player B net score in a match play format. Note 100% handicap allowance to be used.

1 point for a winning team and 1/2 a point for a matched halved.

Directions

Head North on the N1 Polokwane Highway.
Pass through 2 toll gates .
+/- 50 km after Carousel plaza, take the Warmbaths turnoff (exit 238) R516 and turn left towards Warmbaths. (This is the second offramp that says Warmbaths, the first says Settlers, Coddrington & Warmbaths. DO NOT take this one)
Come to a T-Junction (De Dekke in front of you) – turn right (go over a small bridge)
1st traffic light turn left.
Follow this Road – turns sharp right then hits the main road, (Standard bank in front of you) turn left here.
Forever Resorts Entrance on left. Pass through stop street and +/- 50m further turn right into Grobbelaar Street (Alma Road).
Go straight on that road past Warmbaths dam on left. +/- 8km of tar road and then 7km dirt road. Follow the signs.
Dirt road– Take first turn off to the left (signposted), drive +/- 5km and Elements will be on your right hand side.
